Starch conversion aid. Ingredients:  96% Dextrose, 4% Alpha-Amylase Use 0.1 - 0.3 teaspoons per gallon to convert starches into fermentable sugars. When used, breaks 1,4 linkage in starch during liquefication, producing dextrin and a small amount of maltose.  Leaves 1,6 links, therefore it is self-limiting. Then the included Xylanase and Cellulase break down the polysaccharide chains of arabinoxylan and cellulose. Together, all three enzymes help keep todays challenging mashes flowing right. Use:Add 1/4 tsp per 5-gallon batch at mash-in. Glucabuster works in a range of 120-185°F and ideally at a pH range of 4.7-7.0. Additional Notes:Endosperm cell walls are made up of non-starch polysaccharides, of which, in barley, β-glucans account for 75% with arabinoxylan (pentosan) and cellulose accounting for most of the rest. In wheat, the arabinoxylan content is higher. Glucabuster is composed of the cell wall hydrolases β-glucanase, xylanase, and cellulase, which break down the β-14 bonds in these polysaccharides. These enzymes can be equally important to their more famous starch degradation enzymes, α-Amylase and β-Amylase.  Glucanase, xylanase, and cellulase are naturally found in malt but decrease during the kilning stage of malting. Depending on your recipe, adding these enzymes is important to assist with lautering and later with filtering. Refrigeration is recommended, but store at least below 70°F. The recommended shelf life is 12 months from the date the package is opened.

Copper is required as a catalyst to remove Sulphur odors during distillation. These are essential for high alcohol washes, typically over 16% ABV.To wash your saddles: Remove them (both ceramic and copper, but keep them separate for ease of reassembly) from the column and soak them in vinegar. Once finished give them a thorough rinse 3 or 4 times before putting them back in the condenser.You only have to rinse your column and saddles every 5-10 distillations.

Just poke a pin hole and they function just like more expensive silicone airlock lids. Made of platinum cured LFGB (European grade) silicone rubber, these lid inserts are dishwasher, freezer, and microwave safe. Silicone is a safe, green, non-plastic (BPA free) material that does not leach any chemicals like plastic can. This is the most expensive and highest quality silicone available. They are made of clear, food grade, BPA free, platinum cured LFGB silicone rubber.The regular mouth size are 70mm in diameter and 2.7mm thick.The wide mouth size are 86.5mm in diameter and 3.3mm thick. These lids fit in Ball plastic storage caps and will not fall out when you hold them upside down. Because silicone is a flexible material, they fit some other lids too, even if they are not the exact same size. But lids for Mason jars come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, so these will not work with all of them. When possible we have tried to identify on our site which of our lids will work with these inserts.
